The weather has finally started to improve and I have started to run my photography courses again. I’ve been running the full day Saturday and Tuesday morning courses for the past few weeks. The weather is now perfect for walking around talking photographs, I have to say standing on Waterloo Bridge with a camera on a tripod in the freezing sleet has not been much fun this winter.

I’ve made a few tweaks to the format of the Saturday course, I’ve included a people photography session to begin with (or finish with depending on the weather) and the usual landscape photography half day session for rest of the day.

I cover just about everything you need to know to operate a camera and the rules you need to know to compose a decent image. Together we use the camera mostly on manual which I thinks gives a much better understanding of the relationship between speed and aperture. We also cover some photoshop techniques during the day, I take my laptop with me and over a coffee we look at the images taken during the day and improve them in photoshop ready for printing.

It’s good fun, it’s a great day out, and as I’m am the ultimate camera and equipment geek there is not much I don’t know about equipment and taking photos. You can find out all about the courses here

You can buy gift vouchers to give your nearest and dearest as presents.
